Make your own Monster Valentines Mailbox

February 10, 2022
What you'll need
  • An empty tissue box
  • Construction paper
  • Scissors (adult supervision may be needed while cutting paper)
  • Glue stick
  • Markers, crayons or colored pencils
  • Optional: popsicle sticks, googly eyes, pom poms, sequins, feathers and pipe cleaners

Directions

Use the opening of a tissue box as your mail slot and glue construction paper around the box.

Note: you may need to cut the construction paper to fit the different sides of the tissue box.

Once the tissue box is covered, create your monster!

Ideas include:

  • Cut shapes out of other pieces of construction paper and glue them on.
  • Use colored pencils, markers or crayons to decorate the monster in scales or other designs.
  • Glue feathers, pom poms and other craft items onto the box.
  • Once the monster has been created to your liking, allow the box to dry.
  • Set your Monster Valentine’s Day Mailbox out on your school or office desk on Monday, February 14, 2022, with a sign that says, FEED ME!
