Pregnancy Loss Support

After a Loss No One Prepared You For

A guide for navigating miscarriage, stillbirth, and the grief that follows.

Pregnancy loss can feel isolating. The world moved on quickly. You haven’t.

Whether your loss happened last week or last year, whether it was at six weeks or thirty-six, your grief is real, and it deserves real support.

It’s okay to grieve, even if others don’t talk about it.

There’s no right way to feel after pregnancy loss. Sadness, anger, numbness, and guilt are all part of grief. You don’t owe anyone an explanation, you don’t have to be done grieving by a certain date, and you don’t have to do this alone.

Take care of the practical pieces, one at a time.

Grief is heavy, but the practical steps don’t have to be. Here’s how we can make things a little easier, together:

  • Check in with your doctor about your physical recovery and what to expect in the coming weeks.
  • Reach out to your employer about time off, bereavement leave, or a flexible return-to-work arrangement.
  • Choose who you want to share with, and who you don’t. Both choices are valid.
  • Give yourself permission to say no to anything that doesn’t serve you right now.

Your benefits include confidential support for pregnancy loss whenever you need it.

As a GBU Life member – you can access the Empathy Loss Support™ App.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Personalized, step-by-step guidance, designed to support you through your unique experience.
  • A curated library of articles designed to support you through all aspects of pregnancy loss, offering comforting insights and practical advice.
  • Real-time chat with compassionate Care Managers who are available to listen, support, and help find comfort when needed.

Registration takes just a couple of minutes. Once you’re set up, support is available whenever you need it — today, next month, or a year from now.
