Snow Day Fun
February 4, 2021
It’s finally the best day of the year: a snow day!
What better way to spend this day off than to make paper snowflakes! You probably wish you could bring the real snow in, but these paper snowflakes will serve as a beautiful replacement. They are super easy to make and each one will be unique—just like real snowflakes! All you need is a piece of paper and scissors.
First start with a square piece of paper and fold it in half diagonally to make a triangle. Then fold that triangle in half to make another smaller triangle. With that smaller triangle, fold it into thirds, so that there are now two peaks sticking out of the bottom. Cut the two peaks off so that it is once again a triangle. After that, make small cuts in any shape to your liking! Then unfold the paper to reveal your snowflake. It is always a fun surprise to see how pretty it will be.
After you create your paper snowflakes, you may want to create some yummy snowflake cookies! This sugar cookie recipe will be really fun and delicious once they are cooked. Check out the recipe here.
Each year, we set aside time to deep clean and organize our homes. But when was the last time you set aside time to organize your finances? We sat down with GBU Life Home Office agents Leah Teahl and Dominic Nicciai to learn about the benefits of an annual financial review and how you can get started.
Every child can name a teacher who made a difference: the one who stayed late to help, offered encouragement at just the right moment or made learning feel exciting. Recognizing a teacher’s dedication doesn’t require grand gestures, but it does call for intention. Thoughtful appreciation gifts, especially during Teacher Appreciation Week or year-end celebrations, offer a tangible way to express heartfelt gratitude.
