How To Make Snowflake Sugar Cookie
Prep Time
Prep: 2 hours
Cook: 7-9 minutes
Total: 2 hours 9 minutes
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon milk
- Powdered sugar (or flour)
- First mix together the flour, baking powder and salt, and set aside. In a different bowl, blend together the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until the color becomes lighter. Add in the egg and the milk, and mix until combined. Gradually add the flour mixture from the other bowl, beating on a lower speed until all is combined. Once combined, wrap the dough up and place it in the refrigerator to chill for around 2 hours.
- After the two hours have passed, preheat your oven to 375°F. Sprinkle some powdered sugar (or flour) on a clean surface, and roll out the dough with a rolling pin. The dough should be about ¼"thick (a little smaller than the width of your finger).
- Then, if you have snowflake cookie cutters, make some snow flake cookies. If you do not have snowflake cookie cutters, you can make any shape you want! Place cookies on a greased baking sheet about 1” apart, and bake for 7-9 minutes. After the cookies come out of the oven, allow them to cool before decorating. Enjoy!
Each year, we set aside time to deep clean and organize our homes. But when was the last time you set aside time to organize your finances? We sat down with GBU Life Home Office agents Leah Teahl and Dominic Nicciai to learn about the benefits of an annual financial review and how you can get started.
Every child can name a teacher who made a difference: the one who stayed late to help, offered encouragement at just the right moment or made learning feel exciting. Recognizing a teacher’s dedication doesn’t require grand gestures, but it does call for intention. Thoughtful appreciation gifts, especially during Teacher Appreciation Week or year-end celebrations, offer a tangible way to express heartfelt gratitude.
