GBU Student Role Model: Dylan McCarrol

Jennifer Stockdale • November 10, 2020

If you know a GBU student who is a great role model, let us know at memberbenefits@gbu.org. They may be featured as our next GBU Student Role Model!

GBU's November/December Role Model is Dylan McCarroll, grandson of District 821 President Edith Kuplent. Dylan just started college at Michigan State University (MSU), and he has already been asked to become a member of the 2020-2021 Tower Guard Sophomore Honor Society of MSU because he is in the top five percent of the freshman class. This means, that of all of the students in his class at college, Dylan is one of the best! He's making great grades and studying hard. The Tower Guard has been around for a long time, since 1934, and is MSU’s oldest and most respected student organization. It is an organization that encourages college students to do their best and also to help serve their new college community.

Congratulations, Dylan, on your outstanding academic performance. GBU and your fellow District 821 members are very proud of you and wish you continued success in your studies.

Every child can name a teacher who made a difference: the one who stayed late to help, offered encouragement at just the right moment or made learning feel exciting. Recognizing a teacher’s dedication doesn’t require grand gestures, but it does call for intention. Thoughtful appreciation gifts, especially during Teacher Appreciation Week or year-end celebrations, offer a tangible way to express heartfelt gratitude.
