You can also split the cost of gas and tolls.

Tag team breakfast, lunch and dinner with with your fellow roommates. Not only will this save money on groceries, but you may even learn some new recipes. Plus, extra meals can be put together from the leftovers. You may even consider sharing a warehouse membership with a roommate or friend to buy groceries, toiletries and school supplies in bulk.
