Celebrate National Wellness Month with Optimity

July 31, 2025

August is National Wellness Month, a time to reflect on your health and commit to simple habits that support a well-balanced lifestyle. Whether you’re looking to increase your physical activity, stay hydrated or reduce stress, wellness isn’t about dramatic transformations but about consistency and support.

That’s where Optimity comes in.

At GBU Life, we’re proud to offer our members access to this science-backed app that turns daily wellness into an achievable, rewarding routine. During National Wellness Month, there’s no better time to see how small changes can lead to long-lasting results and Optimity is here to guide the way.

What Is Optimity?

Optimity is a mobile wellness platform designed to help users build healthier habits through short, simple activities that fit easily into their day. By focusing on health tips, micro-learning content and small behavior changes, Optimity empowers individuals to take control of their well-being in a way that feels manageable and rewarding.

The app also features fun, educational challenges, and offers chances to win real prizes, including gift cards, just for completing wellness activities. Whether you have five spare minutes or an entire hour, Optimity makes it easy to make wellness part of your routine.

Building Better Habits

Wellness can feel overwhelming, especially when life gets busy. But building better habits doesn’t require a total lifestyle overhaul. Optimity encourages users to take bite-sized steps that naturally lead to improvement over time.

Here’s how Optimity helps:

Move More
Optimity’s movement challenges encourage daily physical activity, even if it’s just a brisk walk or a few stretches between meetings. You’ll get reminders to keep moving, along with practical tips to boost energy and improve mobility.

Hydrate Often
Drinking enough water might seem basic, but it’s one of the most overlooked components of wellness. Optimity sends hydration reminders and shares quick info on how water supports everything from skin health to brain function.

Manage Stress
From guided breathing exercises to mood-boosting tips, Optimity helps users stay mindful and balanced, even on the busiest days. The app’s bite-sized mental wellness content helps reinforce the importance of checking in with yourself.

Sleep Smarter
Good rest is crucial for mental clarity and physical health. Optimity offers sleep hygiene tips and personalized insights to help you improve your nightly routine.

Optimity Wellness with Rewards

One of the most motivating features of Optimity is the chance to earn points for each activity you complete. These points can be redeemed for gift cards and other rewards, turning your healthy habits into real-world benefits. The more consistent you are, the more you earn, creating a fun incentive to keep going.

For GBU members, this benefit is available at no additional cost. It’s our way of supporting your wellness journey and helping you live a more fulfilling, healthier life.

Why National Wellness Month Matters

National Wellness Month isn’t just a date on the calendar; it’s a reminder that your well-being is worth prioritizing. In today’s fast-paced world, self-care often takes a backseat. But this month, we challenge you to make a shift, however small.

Try setting one goal for August. Maybe it’s drinking eight glasses of water a day or walking 20 minutes each morning. Optimity can help you track that goal and stay motivated.

Every child can name a teacher who made a difference: the one who stayed late to help, offered encouragement at just the right moment or made learning feel exciting. Recognizing a teacher’s dedication doesn’t require grand gestures, but it does call for intention. Thoughtful appreciation gifts, especially during Teacher Appreciation Week or year-end celebrations, offer a tangible way to express heartfelt gratitude.
