  • Use cloths to quickly clean up your kitchen or bath!

Eggshell Bathroom Scrub

If you love how clean a powdered cleanser gets your porcelain, stainless steel and fiberglass, but don't love the chemicals, try this all-natural and gentle option made with eggshells or calcium powder.

Supplies

  • Large stockpot filled with water
  • 3 dozen eggshells*
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • Your favorite essential oil
  • Canning jar with flexible mesh screen or glass jar with shaker top

*For a safe, sustainable scrub with less work, use 3/4 cup calcium powder in place of eggshells.

Directions

  • Fill a large stockpot with water and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce water to a simmer and add eggshells for 10- 12 minutes.
  • Remove eggshells from water and place on a baking pan to dry for 8-12 hours.
  • Dry eggshells completely in a 200 degree oven for 10 minutes.
  • Grind eggshells in a coffee grinder and place in jar.
  • Add baking soda and essential oils and mix.
