9 Steps On How To Make Hot Chocolate Bombs
Prep Time
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 2 minutes
Chill: 1 hour
Total: 1 hour 12 minutes
Servings: 3 bombs
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 3 Tbsp. hot chocolate mix
- 3 Tbsp. mini marshmallows
- chocolate mold
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Steps
- In a microwave safe bowl melt the chocolate for 15 second increments, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Fill mold with just enough melted chocolate in order to spread throughout the mold creating the sphere shape of the bomb.
- Refrigerate the molds for about 30 minutes or until completely set. Then gently remove the molds.
- Fill 3 halves with 1 tablespoon of cocoa mix and 1 tablespoon of mini marshmallows.
- Warm a plate or bowl in the microwave and press one of the empty chocolate molds against the hot plate to slightly melt the rim. Take the slightly melted mold and place over one of the filled molds.
- Run a hot spoon along the seam of where the two molds meet to help make the seal.
- Repeat until all chocolate bombs are built.
- To decorate, melt the white chocolate chips and add the desired drizzle with a spoon or by cutting the corner of a plastic bag (optional).
- Allow the hot chocolate bombs to fully set for 30 minutes in the refrigerator and store at room temperature in an airtight container until ready to serve.
Best Served
- Place one hot chocolate bomb in a mug
- Pour 1 1/2 cups of hot milk over the bomb
- Stir and enjoy!
Add-In Suggestions
- Lucky Charms Marshmallows
- Crushed Candy Canes
- Andes Mint Pieces
- White chocolate chips
- Peanut butter chips
Tips
- Don’t overheat the chocolate- Keep an eye on the melting process, check about each 15 seconds.
- Let chocolate sit- The key is to allow your chocolate the time to set once you have shaped the mold and
once assembled.
- Filling- You can add more filling depending on how big your molds are. Start off with the 1 tablespoon and see how much room you have from there.
- Decorating- You can have some fun with this part and make it what you want!
- Color changing- To add a little color, you can make the hot chocolate out of white chocolate and add in a few drops of food coloring to help get the desired color.

As we move into the second quarter of another exciting year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our accomplishments and share some of the new initiatives we are implementing in the realms of sales, marketing and community engagement. Over the past year, GBU Life has reached significant milestones thanks to the dedication and hard work of our team and the trust and support of our members. Our sales department has exceeded targets, and we have expanded our reach to more communities than ever before. We have launched several successful marketing campaigns that have not only increased our visibility but have also strengthened our brand's presence in the industry. For this year, our focus will be educating potential new members on the importance of securing their financial futures through life insurance and annuity products while serving their communities as part of our great Society. Looking ahead, we are committed to enhancing our sales strategies to better serve you. We are introducing some tools for our agents to enhance our products. One new tool is our Defined Benefit Annuity program which combines the Future Flex Fixed Index Annuity (FIA) with a software tool that can help determine retirement savings needs and break them down into contributions over time to help you meet your retirement goals. Be sure to keep in touch with your GBU agent to review your plans and products to see how adding an FIA to your retirement planning can help boost your savings efforts
