There is certainly something to be said about the simple act of giving. Most would probably agree that in many cases, it ends up being as positive of an experience for the giver as for the receiver. In a society where we have more things than we know what to do with, donating to those in need just makes sense.
While most of us are prone to throwing our clothing donations in a bag and dropping off at the local Goodwill or Salvation Army, there are many more nonprofit organizations across the U.S. that are just as deserving of your support. Learn more about these organizations and consider donating a little differently this year.

Fit for a King Ministries is local to Pittsburgh (about 35 minutes outside of the city) and accepts very gently used or new clothes. Thier current primary focus is to collect mens and childrens clothing. Not only do they accept used clothing onsite, they also hold 3 clothing drives a year for families in need; no questions asked.
