The advantages of protecting your whole family on one life insurance policy.

As a GBU member, you are likely well-versed on the importance of protecting your family's financial future with a life insurance policy for yourself. Now, with GBU Life's new Select Choice Term and Secure Life permanent life insurance options, you can protect your entire family on one policy through the optional purchase of Spousal and Children's Term Riders. There are some important advantages for doing so.

Both the Spousal and Children's Term Riders allow you to choose the amount of coverage for your additional family members based on your coverage level. Each rider has additional features that make them a great addition to your policy.

For Your Spouse

The Spousal Term Rider covers your spouse for a 20-year level term with coverage amounts from $50,000 up to the face value of your policy. Your spouse's coverage ends after 20 years or when you reach age 70, whichever comes first. The cost for the rider is based on the age, sex and health of your spouse at the time of the application. Your spouse can choose to convert the rider to a whole life policy with a face value from $10,000 up to the value of the

original policy. The rider can be converted at any time after a year and in the case of your death or a divorce.

For Your Children

The Children's Term Rider covers all of your children for the same amount on the same policy. Even children who are born or adopted after the policy is in force are covered. You simply pay an annual premium of $5 per $1,000 of coverage, up to $20,000. When your child reaches 25 (or you reach the age of 75), he or she is eligible to convert the rider to their own policy without additional medical exams or questions. Should you pass away before your child is 25, your child continues to be covered under the policy and all premiums are waived.

Added Benefits

Your spouse and children covered under these riders are considered members of GBU Life and are eligible for all GBU Life member program such as scholarships, grants and discounts. In addition, your entire family can participate in GBU events and giving back to your local community together.
