Brrrr! When temperatures drop and you’re wondering how to occupy your time indoors, take a look around your home for these common items and spend an afternoon making these cozy-moment crafts.
Mitten Garland

Gather outgrown or unwanted gloves or mittens in your home to make this cozy craft!
Items Needed
- Twine
- Mittens
- Clothes pins
Steps
- Hang a strand or two of thick twine around a fireplace or entryway.
- Attach mittens or gloves to the twine using clothes pins.
Chocolate Candy Cane Dippers
Use leftover holiday candy to make these sweet treats.
Items Needed
- Candy canes
- Chocolate chips or bars
- Mini marshmallows or sprinkles
- Parchment paper
Steps

- Melt chocolate in the microwave using 30-second intervals. Stir chocolate in-between each interval until smooth.
- Dip the long end of the candy cane into the chocolate multiple times until well coated.
- On the last dip, add sprinkles or attach mini-marshmallows to the chocolate side of the candy cane.
- Place the finished chocolate-covered candy cane on parchment paper to dry.

Board Election GBU Financial Life’s national bylaws allow adult insured members (as defined in Article VI, Section 1 of the bylaws) the right to vote for the organization’s Board of Directors. Ballots will be mailed at the beginning of August 2026 to all eligible members. Eligible members may vote by paper ballot via mail or electronic ballot online once they receive their ballot. Cumulative voting or voting by proxy is not permitted.
